Dog of the Week -Waffle
Waffle is a young Goldendoodle who is full of wonder! She always greets me with a toy and tries to get me to play rather than put on her harness. She is just a little fearful of the harness, but with some petting and gentle words, I am able to get her geared up for the walk. Once we are out the door, Waffle bounds down the stairs and is eager to get going. Waffle loves to take in everything that is going on around her. If we spot a squirrel or a person, she stops in her tracks to just observe. When I first began walking Waffle, she was easily frightened by some things we encountered. The sound of construction or seeing lawn ornaments would cause her to jump. With each walk (and of course treats), she has become less fearful and able to enjoy her time outside more. This means more time for smelling trees and saying hello to everyone paying her compliments! It has been so rewarding to spend time with Waffle. She is so full of energy, yet makes me pause for a moment to appreciate my surroundings. She is a joy to walk, and I always look forward to my time with Waffle! -Ashley (Nature of the Dog -GR Dog Walker)
